Which one should you use for your blog titles? I’ve tested both across our tool pages and the answer depends on your brand and your audience. Here is the breakdown of Title Case vs. Sentence Case for SEO.

Title Case vs Sentence Case: Which One Should You Use?

Should I use Title Case or Sentence Case for headlines?

Use Title Case for main H1 titles and navigation items to give them a formal, authoritative look. Use Sentence Case for H2 and H3 subheadings to make them more readable and conversational. For SEO, neither has a direct ranking advantage, but Title Case often yields a slightly higher CTR in search results due to its visual prominence.

The Consistency Rule

I’ve seen sites mix both in the same article—it looks messy and unprofessional. Pick a style and stick to it. We use Title Case for our tool names (e.g., "JSON Formatter") and Sentence Case for our long-form guide headers to keep the experience feeling "Human-first."

Accessibility Matters

Sentence case is generally easier for users with dyslexia or cognitive impairments to read, as the lowercase letters provide more distinct shapes for the eye to follow. If your audience is broad, Sentence Case is the safer bet for accessibility.
